EricWieczorek
I'm looking to purchase a CAI for my 2008 Shelby. What's the best one to get? I'm leaning towards the one from Ford Racing since I have a mechanic friend who works at a local dealership... Thanks!
shel-b001
Ford or JLT both good choices .
kb67
The JLT 127mm is a top notch CAI its well worth the money, Its a great kit has everything included took about a hour to put on. I'm very happy with my choice. You need a tune if you do a CAI JLT has a package including a SCT but there is also other options out there. I'm running a VMP tune and pulley setup its a solid setup. Justin at VMP sells the For Racing CAI with his VMP tune if that is the look that you like.

wanted2b
K&N is on mine. Not sure it's the best, but it sure livened up the car. Now for the tune. Almost time for hibernation so will wait until spring 2012.

skeet
I got he Ford Racing CAI and performance tune from VMP. It is a pretty easy mod if you want to do it yourself. I like the look of the FORD RACING logo on the filter shroud.

08ragtop
I am going to get a JLT intake. I see that a lot of people here have this intake but use a VMP tune instead of one from JLT. I am wondering why.
IA Shelby
I am going to get a JLT intake. I see that a lot of people here have this intake but use a VMP tune instead of one from JLT. I am wondering why. Simply because Justin Starkey (VMP owner) is a better tuner than anyone at JLT.
09 Red GT500
I have the C&L CAI and a tune from Justin. It has the look I like and the tune from the best!
2012SILVERGT500
Simply because Justin Starkey (VMP owner) is a better tuner than anyone at JLT. Before you flame me. Have to ask a simple question. How do we rate tunes here: Dyno Racing, 1/4 Mile Racing, Winding Track Racing, What some magazine says, because they are one of the AD buyers, etc. In the last 12 years, years I have seen all kinds of tune. The good, the bad and the "There She Blows", just go to You Tube. My last Supercharged Mustang-10th anniversary SVT 2003 and 1998 Diesel Ford Pickup were R&D Vehicle for Superchips. So, let me know you basis for tunes. I will say that the folks that just went 204.9 MPH at the Texas Mile, had a damn good tune.
