Robert M
Before I start into my rear brake upgrade I decided to do the rear lower control arms. For a suspension piece, this is a relatively easy upgrade. Shown below is the OEM LCA and then what I call "1st design" which I believe is no longer available and has been replaced by the last LCA in the picture which I call "2nd design". I installed the 2nd design on my Super Snake. When I first bought my car I looked under the side/rear and noticed what "appeared" to be a very cool factory installed lightweight alum. LCA. When I was installing the 3" JBA I glanced over at the factory LCA's and realized that, yes.......they are lightweight, and not at all the nice alum. LCA's that they appeared to be from the outside.......... ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Sorry the pictures are a little blurry..................... Here is a more clear picture with a flash.......... octaviusc
Hi Robert, was just wondering if you knew by chance if these are part of the anti-wheel hop package that the mod shop at Shelby offers? I just sent my payment in last week for my Supersnake build and would like some more information on this if possible. Will also probably call Jeremy Roberts sometime next week about it. Thanks My CSM number is 11SS0090

It "may" be all of these items that are included in that package. Of the items listed above, the only items I have not purchased yet are the LCA relocation brackets. I wanted to start out with the rubber to poly bushing change of the control arms first, and see if/how the ride quality changes.......... R Robert, I did confirm today that the "2nd design" LCA's as you call them are included with the anti-wheel hop package that the Shelby mod shop offers. This is a $4,350 option and I believe I am going to have this installed on my GT500 when it goes in for my SS conversion. Thanks for posting. I've been told there is a lot that goes into it, we'll see. The only other item that I remembered after my last post was a new/thicker upper control arm bracket that bolts to the body for upper control arm attachment. I have this item also and it will be installed when I get around to doing the UCA replacement. I would be interested in what parts are included (in addition to the LCA's and UCA) for the price quoted. R
dbackg
Wow $4,350 for UCA & LCA is a lot what else does it include if anything.? Maybe it includes the billet watts link??? Even if, $4350 is outrageous for an "anti-hop" kit.
Robert M
Maybe it includes the billet watts link??? Even if, $4350 is outrageous for an "anti-hop" kit. I thought of the Watts also. I have not checked recently, but SPP also offered some of these rear suspension pieces with race ends (Heim joints), they were more expensive, but for my street I was concerened about the degrade in ride. I do not see them listed in the suspension section of SPP now........... R

I'm curious on everyone's opinion here, thanks.

I'm curious on everyone's opinion here, thanks. "Correction" made at the bottom of this page............... I see all of the parts that I mentioned in post #4 and then the bracket that I mentioned in post #8. The additional items I see in the pictures is the Shelby Billet diff. cover/girdle and the panhard bar relocation bracket required for this girdle/cover. The Watts link will not clear that diff. cover, and there is no Watts link in these pictures. Below is a picture of the Shelby cover, a very nice piece. Below is a picture of the cover and the correct panhard bar relocation bracket for the early Super Snakes with the Blue/Granatelli Panhard bar. -------------------------------------------------------------- ************CORECTION*********** The cover shown in your pictures is a Ford Racing Girdle, this may, or may not have been part of this Anti-Wheel Hop pkg. I would think that if it were SA installed, they would use the Shelby cover? R
