Painted Intake cover

Recommended Posts

Like it on the Grabber Orange. Not so sure for my White SGT.

Agreed! It would be a #@%! to keep clean in white! Might look good in VB too!

For anyone wanting to do this and not have to wait on drying etc:

Not cheap ($159) but allows you to go back to black etc., if you so choose.

That's cool too! Silver might be nice too!

You know looking at it it seems that even the black one would be cool in that it would shine and looks easier to clean, fewer crivices, than the stock one.

Paint it! Then hydro dip it in silver carbon fiber on top of the orange. I know a guy.

Seriously though, I like the painted intakes. I saw one that way painted gloss black with the tops of each runner done in grabber orange and it looked pretty good. Let me see if I can find the pic.

edit: found it. It was yellow though, not grabber.

Take care man. Great looking car show stand too, by the way. :D

These covers don't 'hide' anything except the very top of the plastic manifold and the fuel cross over line. Keeping them clean is not a problem, even in white. I waxed mine before I installed it and now all I have to do is wipe it off to keep it clean. In fact, it's a hell of a lot easier to clean then the manifold it's self.

The only issue I had was with it was rubbing the underside of the strut brace, but a few washers fixed that.
