powershift46
I have been wondering about this for some time. When we bought our cars new let's say the HP at the fly wheel was 320. If we drive (not to crazy) what would the HP be after 10,000 miles? 30,000, 50,000? Is there some formula that could be use to figure this out? MMcGuirk
I ran a dyno on my 06 at the Whipple install and 50,000 miles later. The results were identical!
ARMORINE
there is no formula for this. a car thats properly taken care of shouldn't lose horsepower. atleast not if the tune remains right and nothing is worn out badly(over gapped spark plugs, clogged injectors etc)
ilmor
Heck, HP probably increases a little at some point as things loosen up a bit...
cobradad
For sure the MPG goes up a bit as the engine gets some mileage on it. CC
