Dana Holmes
Good morning TS Gang - I just wanted to share some pictures of my two newest modifications to my SGT. I researched and worked with Peter at APR Performance of Walnut, California. This guy is outstanding. I went with both the specific carbon fiber (CF) splitter custom made for our SGT fascias and the GTC-200 adjustable CF Wing for the FORD Mustang S197. I had no idea and actually found a thread about this wing after I had purchased. It appears that Roush had a Trak Pak edition of their Mustang that also included this very wing. But their wing had specific side plates for the wing that my wing did not arrive with although I saw pictures of this wing with them. I called Peter at APR and explained that I didn't care so much for the side wing plates that came with mine so they custom made two of them for me as they were originally for the Roush Mustang. I think they look beautiful and the CF makes the car look very aggressively. Be on the lookout in the near future for both a APR Performance Facebook Photo Album on their FB page dedicated to my Vista Blu SGT and select photos on their own official site. Much thanks and appreciation goes out to Oil Haus Plus here in Walla Walla, Washington to the owner Donnie Cordiero and his custom work/ fabrication in the installation of both pieces. Especially the front splitter - this thing is properly installed with the stainless support rods going though my Silverhorse Racing Lower Grille and attaching to the framework of the SGT via customized brackets. If not properly installed the splitter can create enough of a downward pull that it can actually pull your fascia away from the car at higher speeds. Donnie and his shop treated my SGT like it deserved! Have a great day gang - Dana

FordRocks1
The front splitter looks fantastic, not a fan of the rear wing, kind of takes away from the SGT's sleek lines. Overall your SGT looks great, do you track yours?
SGT/SC#0471
could you tell a difference after the install? looks very race car...
Shelby-Don
I like the splitter although I'm not sure I would want my front end any lower as I have to be carefull to avoid bottoming out as it is. I don't care for the wing it reminds me too much of a ricer
03 DSG Snake
APR makes some quality gear. That wing is serious business for track toys. I will say that everything especially the new wing and splitter gives it a high tech racecar type look, but the rims give it the retro look that really throws it off. I think with a different set of rims that total package would be VICIOUS.
Dana Holmes
Yes, I did notice a difference in the "feel" of the car when I picked it up. I drove it home on a small bit if highway that I traverse quite often with the SGT. Although it is a short stretch and I only got up to about 60-65 MPH the car felt 'heavier' maybe? Meaning the downward pull on the front and rear was more intense. APR does have/ sell a special calibration tool for the rear wing and they state you can get different desired affects based upon the wing angle. I have yet to track my car although when I read of other's responses to their experiences it does sound awesome! The splitter is beautiful and not as close to the ground as I thought it might be when I had it installed. I am very careful where I drive this car. I even scouted out a Napa Auto Parts Store with one of my other vehicles on Friday evening. There was a Show n Shine there on Saturday so I wanted to make sure I would clear the entrance with the SGT. I did. Attended the Show n Shine which was held by the Walla Walla Cruisers. I joined this club a couple of months back but this was the first time I ever attended any event and showed my car. I received a lot of nice compliments and comments on her and it made me feel good. Nice folks for sure. I thought long and hard on my GTC-200 wing. For me the rear end of the SGT as I bought it originally was my least favorite aspect of the car. It just looked flat to me like it was missing something. Like a cat or a dog without a tail and just a nub wagging about! I thought of the stock GT spoiler or some other flavor but realized it has been done by many. I wanted something, but something different. When I first saw these wings I too thought no way and of course thought of getting tagged with some term as mentioned above. But you know, this car isn't a smaller vehicle like a Mazda or a Honda - it's American Muscle baby. I then received a Moss Muscle Catalog in the mail and on their cover was their white 2005 GT and it had the GTC-200 wing on it. From the angle of the picture it just really caught my eye. So then I began my researching and my lengthy dialog with Peter at APR as well as scoping out many photos of the S197 body style and the wing. I started digging it and had my vision. Plus - carbon fiber is beautiful and the contrast with my Vista Blue paint n silver stripe scheme is stunning. Interesting about the rims/ wheels. I love my CS69's just for that - the retro appearance. I researched long and hard on wheel selection as well. Big chunk of money to plop down. I feel good with how the CS69's contrast and go with the entire vision. But, wheels are like shoes so-to-speak and I also have some American Racing Shelby Limited Edition Torque Thrust M's in the Anthracite in their original boxes out in the garage. I may run with those someday. 10's for the rear and 9's up front if I recall correctly. We have all done things to and touched our cars in a certain way. I have seen some beautiful machines on TS that just blow me away. I know those owners are happy and content when they poke their eyes out into their garage like I do every night when I check on my baby before bedtime! Thanks for the comments so far and not attacking a brother! Dana
AndyGJ
I love those rims!!! that is my favorite set. Dana, are you planning on tracking the SGT? I have to think that the wing would make a big difference. Any plans to paint and stripe it to match the color scheme? I bet that would pull it all together to give it more of a factory look that some folks prefer. Looking good - totally unique too! Andy.

AndyGJ
The biggest change in appearance is that your new Carbon Fiber Front Splitter really makes the SHELBY lettered grill from CS6 look like it really belongs there...those two were made for each other...tremendous improvement to the front end looks of your car!!!! This really looks like a car that could go toe to toe with something like the Boss 302...add an SC and a Boss 302 wouldn't know what hit it!! I don't know what it is, but that Carbon Fiber splitter makes all the difference to that grill.... Thanks for the great pics! Andy.
