Just purchased 2008 Vista Blue with 2400 miles!

SGT 0538.

Has all optoins including the Factory Navigation Just turned 2400 miles.

Wondering how many had the 5 speed with Nav?

Of course it has the stripe and hood pin issues.Dealer has sent Shelby pictures since the 3/36 warrenty was in effect yesterday 9/12/11 which was the last day of the 3/36 how strange.

Looking forward to having the stripe and hood pin issues fixed.

P.S. I also own a 1969 Camaro Z28 ( Lemans Blue with White Stripes) and they look great in the garage next to each other.

Hi esterobay, Congrats on being the new owner of 08SGT0538. I think I saw it for sale around the Tampa area a couple days ago when I was trying to see how much low mileage SGTs were going for locally. I own 08SGT0528 in Pembroke Pines (Ft. Lauderdale area), FL, and I'm considering selling it, as it spends way too much time in my garage. Maybe we'll see each other at some local event. Below are a few photos of mine taken last weekend. When you get time, please share some photos of 08SGT0538!

Thanks to all for the welcome and information!

Steve - I purchased it in Sarasota on the last day of the 3/36 warranty so looking to see if Shelby will replace the stripes.

The dealer sent in a claim and took some pictures.

Will see how that plays out.

Believe it or not I work at a Chevy store in SW Florida so if anyone is looking for a new ZL1 Camaro or GS/Z06/ZR1 Corvette etc. let me know.

My Shelby looks great parked next to all those GM rides.

Hi there,

I went through the exact same issue as you when I picked up VB 0270 w/ ~4K miles on it last September. Mine is a coupe with the NAV and 5-speed. I don't know much about the stats on our cars at all. I just love mine!

As for taking pictures of your scoop, stripes and rust blisters under the hood pin plates - my photos were not sent to Shelby but to FORD SVT I and their special e-mail address. They handle everything with Shelby in Vegas. Make sure you even get the special bag of phillips head aluminum screws to attach your new hood pin plates to your hood after the repaint. I assume you are aware of the rust issue under those plates from using regular steel screws on an aluminum hood? Even stainless steel screws won't solve the problem and finding aluminum in that special size is tough! That is why FORD Warranty has them and will ship them out to you for free once you call and give your VIN.

There is an older thread where I spoke of this: Call SVT at 800-367-3788 - give them the last 6 digits of your VIN # and mailing/ shipping address and they send you a bag of 10 screws (although you only need 8) that are phillips head and the proper size and all aluminum. This is the older thread.

Take care man! Dana

Steve,

Nice looking SGT over in Pembroke Pines.

Can you advise details on your rear spoiler?

I would like to purchase one for mine.

Thanks,

Bruce

Thanks Bruce! The spoiler is an OEM Shelby GT500 rear spoiler, and the added stripe material is Oracal 970, like the rest of the stripes. The spoiler comes "paint to match", which means it is only primered and ready to paint. You can purchase the spoiler from your local Ford dealer or order it from a Ford dealer that sells online, which is usually less money, and it comes with a template to help you drill the needed four holes in your trunk lid. I speak form experience when I recommend purchasing only OE spoilers. Then you'll need to get it painted VB. I used a local guy that does stripes and other graphics for most of the local dealerships, which cost me $80. Let me know if you need more info.

You are going to love your SGT. Your 69' Z28 is an awesome car too. But you will find out now how much fun it is to just jump in the Shelby and go for a ride. A fifty mile ride in those old cars ( I have a 65' fastback) seems like a long rough ride. But in the SGT, you will be wanting to go often. And the new Mustangs are well accepted in the show and shines and car shows. That garage of yours is pretty cool with a Shelby and a 69'Z28. Cant want to see a picture of them together.

I have a 2008 SGT vista coupe with Automatic and Navigation. Out of the coupes there are only 148 automatics and only 60 of them with navigation. I also have HID headlights and heated seats.
