jsdeweyusmc
Just received it about aweek ago and this is one great Shelby. It replaces my 2010 GT500 and this one drives so much better. Been doing the mods with the CDC carbon fiber styling bar, Silverhorse interior door handles,JLT strut bar with the CAI intake from JLT,fusebox cover,Shelby engine caps and Redline Hood Struts. Have the Magnaflow axle back deletes to be put on when I get a chance. Also order a set of HRE wheels 890R yesterday so I'll post new pics once I install them. The electronic steering in this gt500 is really impressive. Had too many miles on my old one so I needed a newer one. The sound with this one stock is louder than the 2010 but still need something with more growl to it. Over all I give this a ten compare to a 2010 as a seven. My buddies 12 is really nice but definately prefer mine(maybe cause mine is comfortablly modded and his is stock)...However more then likely will be trading or selling mine for the 13 when it comes out. Good luck with and it looks sweet..........

jsdeweyusmc
Congrats....it looks great!! What brand is the strut tower brace? Its a JLT which had it on the 2010 and it fits like a glove still. Painted it myself to match the Shelby, it was Sterling gray with silver stripes before. I believe it cost around $175.00. jsdeweyusmc
Thanks buddy but it looks like that JLT is not longer selling it..... Look under the JLT website for the 2007-2009 strut bars. They do fit the 2010-2012 Shelby's as you can see from my 2010 and 2012.

jsdeweyusmc
Congrads and nice color choice. Any reason you didn't get the recaros? Do you think the standard seats are more comfortable? Sat in the recaros before I ordered the new one and IMO they are the most uncomfortable seats there is. You have to be thin in the waist or your overhang don't feel right in them. I recommend that you sit in them before you order them to make sure they are for you. They are all manual seats. rba44
Where did you get those sweet looking bolt covers on the strut towers? Did you have to mod anything to get the 07-09 strut into you 10-12? Everyone round here says it will not fit, but clearly I can see in your pic's it does. Any rubbing when the hood is closed? I didn't have to mod the bar to work, I didn't even use any spacers for them. When I brought the bar from JLT they said it was for a 2010. The cover are just some chrome ones I picked off Ebay for around $35.00. I did have to glue the 2 inward caps on both sides because there is not enough threads for them to grab onto. I didn't know for sure that it would fit on my 2012 until i tried it and it fits with no rubbing at all.

Just use some super glue and that should work and just use it on the threads only for the inward bolts
