ccsl7578
Hey All, I noticed after a few times autocrossing this summer that my stock front brake rotors have a nice blue tint. I assume this means they have been pretty HOT. Is this a serious cause for concern? Has damage been done already or do I just need to keep an eye on it? I want to change to Hawk pads, ss lines and ATE blue this winter, now I'm thinking the rotors may need to be replaced too...? Thanks! Mark
stormeaston
Yup......................they got hot. Go ahead and do the upgrades that won't hurt a thing. If your brakes are functioning like they should then don't worry that you may have warped them at all. If your brakes are chattering or really soft, then they need to be looked at.
