MDPLS
I have a 2011 and was wondering if anyone has installed the Shelby Gauge Pod that mounts to the dash? The catalog that I have says it is for the 07-09 model years and was wondering if this would fit my year. Also, if you have installed it, was it difficult and does this item's installation do anything to the warranty? Thanks...

The Shelby Perf, Parts gauge pod is does NOT retrofit to the 2010+ MY vehicles. Shelby started putting A-pillar gauge pods on the Super Snake starting in 2010. The "new thing" seems to be, use a Boss 302 Dash Mounted 3-gauge pod (sans gauges) which IS made to fit into the indentation on the 2010+ Mustang dash. You can get just the pod reletively cheap but the downside is you need to cut a hole in the dash for the wiring loom and 4 holes to mount the pod with but you get to decide which three gauges YOU want to use, not what someone else wants you to use. Pod only (no gauges): http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=12411 Part #: M-6304GPOD-A MSRP: $119.95 Pod & Gauges: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=12414 Part #: M-6304GPACK-MA MSRP: $1399.95 On the plus side, it looks like the Boss 5.0 pod was made for the car from the factory, not from a couple of flat pieces of cardboard someone used as a template like the Shelby unit does. That will likely be my next serious undertaking for my '10 GT500....I just have to convince myself that cutting holes in the dash is the right thing to do! HTH, Phill Pollard Phill, when I finally get my shelby up your way you can take a look at the Boss 302 pod in person. it is really a nice looking unit and fits very nicely. As for the hole - once it is there, it is there. I wouldn't take it out when I sell the car, too much of a hassle to try and repair. I saw the pod with gauges on one of the Mustang sites the other day for under 1K. Still very expensive but much cheaper than what i paid.
Amigo GT500
I found something better if you purchase the items separately. - Pod from Tousley Ford $81.40 - Water temperature from CJ Pony Parts $158.95 http://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-racing-water-temperature-gauge-2-1%2f16%22-100-260f-electric/p/M10883BFSE/ - Oil Pressure from CJ Pony Parts $241.95 http://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-racing-oil-pressure-gauge-2-1%2f16%22-0-100-psi-electric/p/M9278BFSE/ - D-Pic 1/4 mile from egauges.com $241.56 http://egauges.com/vdo_mult3.asp?Type=Dpic&Series=ATM_Ford&Units=E Total: $723.86 vs $1,034 from Ford Racing (Tousley Ford) and purchasing them separately they look better. The picture shows the original from Ford Racing. The first two gauges have the text Ford Racing (one from Ford Racing doesn't). The D-Pic which is located in the center is the same one.
