has the words SuperSnake stamped on the inside of the wheel. Interesting wheels. I wonder if someone stamped the wheels on their own to pass it off for something else

They look like early Craiger wheels. How many Super Snakes were made in the 60's? They could be rare and the guy does not know it. Rick

Look to be legit Shelby wheels from the 70's. The seller needs to measure the bolt pattern to see if they are a Ford bolt patern.

After looking at the ebay pics I would not run these wheels on a car. Too much seperation between the steel hoop and the cast insert to be safely used in my opinion.

Here's an old thread where someone else is asking about these wheels.

Let me add to that thread by saying these wheels are not prototype wheels, that Shelby logo was used for many years. I even recall some of the center caps saying SS on them. These were heavily advertised in car magazines and I want to say even sold in the Sears or Montgomery Ward catalog. They were very popular on vans during the van craze of the 1970's.

They look legit because the words are Cast into the Wheels, not stamped.

Exactly, those are cast, and a casting like that is not cheap...even in 1970's dollars...

The Shelby Wheel Co, was started a very long time ago (1973 I think??) Correct me if i'm wrong...
