olblue1062
Kooks Long Tube Headers- 1 5/8"x 2 1/2" w/Catted X-Pipe- 2005+ Mustang GT 4.6L Anyone got any experience with this kit...install tips? Difference between X and H pipe? Require a retune? Thanks
TheKurgan
That's what I run. Install is mucho fun. Reuse stock gaskets, not the felt Kooks gaskets. You won't need a tune if you're keeping the cats. Edit: I forgot you might need a tune due to the delay of the O2 sensors being farther back. olblue1062
mucho fun meaning typical header install...lots of twisting and turning. Kooks quality OK?
TheKurgan
mucho fun meaning typical header install...lots of twisting and turning. Kooks quality OK? They are the best. I've had 1/4 inch lowering motor mounts and now 1/2 inch lowering mounts and there are zero clearance issues, no leaks. I've even re-used the stock gaskets twice with no RTV. After having installed a Paxton, you come to appreciate no clearance issues on aftermarket parts lol.
