iceman
I am slowly working on getting a little less black in the engine bay. Couldn't really call this a tech/mod but wanted to put some pics up for everyone since I'm probably the tester for this. It's the Steeda Radator cover for the GT500. It's nice looking but I was a little disappointed as I would have rather had a part that replaces the black plastic there now than just a metal thing that glues on with some nasty black silicone glue crap. I probably wasn't as liberal as i should have been on this glue as I am touting with the idea for some of the 3M tape instead but was wondering if maybe the silicon junk is better under the heat it could get there. If that's the case it makes sense - just not as much as a true replacement in my mind. Here's a few pics - I'll put another couple up when I get the Fuse Box cover. Please excuse my water spots. Had not opened the hood since last hose down...now you see my dirty engine

sandyman
Check out these radiator covers. I have had parts done by Bill and they are fantastic. He can do anything you can imagine. Look under plenum covers and other parts.....http://www.uniqueautomotivedesigns.com/ That is really nice work. I would actually prefer a brushed aluminum verson but like the shiney stainless better than the ugly black thing. I am book marking this site for the future - thanks.......and if anyone does order these make sure to get the GT500 specific version. My understanding is there is a difference between them for the GT and GT500. The one i got is from Steeda: http://www.steeda.com/products/steeda_radi..._cover_s197.php Bit I like the idea of a full replacement better than a stick on cover.
