gth0007
A brief history. I've owned my SGT for over 4 years, the car is a daily driver with over 50,000 miles, and only twice have I had a tremendous water leak in the cowl area. Water pours into the passenger side floor, usually about 2 gallon only if the rain is very hard OR the car is parked on a downhill slope. On a recent trip from Memphis to Little Rock I ran into the "rain from hell" for over 100 miles. The water was pouring onto the passenger side compartment. Only happened one other time, so what is the deal with this ?? I read some of the posts on the Shelby Forum so I know others have had this intermittent problem with the 2005-2009 Mustangs. Is there now a fix out there ?? Sounds like Ford should maybe issue a TSB ?? Please help, thanks, regards, Larry
americaniron
Here is the Ford TSB link for the passenger side water intrusion problem. I had the same problem a few years ago, and this TSB fixed it. http://www.stangnet.com/images/stories/docs/s197_TSBs/07-14-06.pdf
cobradad
Also have them check above the interior fuse box behind the passenger side kick panel. A friend had this issue on his '05 Mustang. He also said they also found a grommet (I forget where) that was not installed right and was leaking water into the interior. CC
