Favorite Coffee, Beer, Scotch?

Recommended Posts

Coffee: I buy the beans and grind my own, then brew the grounds in a French Coffee Press. I usually buy Starbucks Bold French Roast beans.

Beer: I like PILS beer from Laguniats Brewing Company in California, it's a Czech Style Pilsner. It's hard to find it in Pa. and when you do it's about $50 a case. So in the mean time I drink Pabst Blue Ribbon or Yuengling Lager.

I don't drink liquor but I like red wines that are not too sweet, especially Pasta Red from Knapp's Winery at the New York Finger Lakes.

I'll second Shiner Bock, its the best thing to come out of Texas next to me.

Coffee; I gave it up when people started adding flavors and charging $5 for a cup. That's like putting katsup on a steak.

As for scotch, I'll take any as long as it's called tequila. A nice silver tequila.....

EL Shelby, like a nicely chilled Silver Patron?

As far as Shiner Bock goes, have you tried the Shiner Reunion six pack?

My favorite coffee is black, strong and straight....any brand.

I have switched favorites on beer many times over my life....Guiness when I was really young, then I got into Ambers, then IPAs, and now I prefer Stella Artois. But even that is complicated. It just depends on if Im REALLY thirsty, if its hot or cold, if I plan to drink a lot...etc...

Scotch- Bruickladdich for single malt, I like crown or chivas for blends

For wine, my favorite currently is conundrum.....really dig that stuff.

Not a fan of Patron. It's not bad but its not as good as many others. I'm a fan of Don Julio, and 1800 works in a pinch and I'll take a Cuervo Black with my cigar.

I've tried many of the various Shiners, but I always came back to the Bock. The colder, the better.

with Beer I'm almost the same as Skeet, however I prefer a Troegs Nugget Nectar as my fav beer, followed by the PBR and Lager. PBR makes a great lawn pop or throwdown!

Coffee, put me with Warren, Black and hot, none of that flavored crap!

Coffee - nah

Beer - Nothing like a German Pils. Ramsteiner is my favorite but there are so many good Germany Pils and that is usually readily available.

Scotch - Macallan 15 y/o but I rarely drink that stuff as it comes up and smacks me hard in the back of the head the next day.

When I drank Ale, Molson Ex. But now beer no more like Wick.

Coffe, Tim Hortons Dbl, Dbl. Only now its a dbl, dbl sweetner.

Prefer a good cup of Earle Grey in the morning, Apple Cinn. in the afternoon, Tetley otherwise, again with sweetener.

Spirits, Rum- The good stuff, on the rocks. Just like Scotch. ( gotta watch the blood sugar when drinking alcohol, make sure to eat).

Bacardi, Lambs, etc., Just mix it with a non sugar mix.

Turbo Dunkin Donuts- East Coast Baby

Hefe- Germans make great beer and guns

1968 table scotch for commoners

These are my first choices and my loving wife spent the $300+ on the 68 which is still unopened after 4+ years.

My Grand Mothers home was leveled for a DD and reminds me of Gross Point Blank.

I've only been to Germany once, for a day, but it made a lasting impression.

Maybe I'll break open the 68 and tell the stories behind all 3 someday.
