RogerArrick
I've read through a bunch of the fog light threads but didn't find this answer. I'm considering mounting a pair of fog lights on the SA lower billet grill on my GT-C. I realize this will require machining the grill. These are the ones I'm looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-08-FORD-MUSTANG-CLEAR-DRIVING-FOG-LIGHTS-LAMP-SWITCH-/290569349673 Question #1 Looking up through the grill opening, I see what I'm guessing is the stock factory fog light connector just hanging there. Does this mean the relay and harness is already there and I'll I have to do is connect the 2 lights in parallel? Or will I need to get a harness with the relay, then wire it back to the battery, etc? Question #2 Can anyone tell me the outside diameter of these lights? I need to make sure that it is less than 3-5/8 so they fit between the top and bottom grill rail. A photoshop of how this might look is here: Check out this link by Stormracer. fog light install There is a fuse that is sometimes pulled by SA when the original fog lights are removed. Once the fuse is back in place and the lights hooked up to the fog light connectors (wiring) the lights will work. I cut out a couple pieces of aluminum to take the place of the checkered end covers (they pop off). The hole I made in the plates is 3 1/2 inches in diameter. That is just wide enough for the clear lens portion of the light to come through the aluminum plate. One note I found in the thread was that mounting the lights upside down allows more bulb adjustment. It did make adjustment easier. CC

It's so easy my 3yr old did the wiring she fit nicely in between the grille and radiator. Now all I have to do is teach her how to drive the tractor to cut the grass !! I learned the hard way with my Volkswagon upgraded bulbs and it melted my lense where bulb mounts and the wiring was melted also but that was from me trying to save money. I bought a higher light output bulb that was a no name brand. I didn't cut the connector off the factory harness I usaully snip 2 male wire connector so they fit into the connector then tape each connection so if one comes loose it doesn't touch the other connector or you can use connectors that just clamp onto the wires either way make sure to black tape every connection. and secure the wiring harness. I have to mention this the way I do my installs of any electrical device from speakers to gauges. I can for any reason in 10 mins pull out all my installs. I channeled all my wiring thru the outer body along the weather strips it the door into the dash board. Also can change my mirrors to my back up lenses that have the turn signal built in harness still in car for quick mount. So say I trade in my car it will be easy for me to take my stuff out and back to factory. Good luck
