White SGT Naked NO stripes..

Recommended Posts

No I am going vinyl again...but using John Farmers kit. I had a painter tell me that this will resist smaller chips better on the front...who knows (in 22000 miles I only had chips up high and to the sides of the hood and to fender edges...now gone)...but I am willing to try the better vinyl product.

After the last 7 months of getting the hood and trunk to where they are now as they have been refinished...I am done with the paint shop scene...not thier fault just white is a pain to match and I am really picky with this car specifically. It's the only new car I ever bought myself and I am passing it down to my kid one day.

Was told the whole car would need clear by a painter I trust, but one day I may get the gumption to just spray some satin silver on myself and call it good leaving the fine line mask...but not yet.

:hysterical:

I like your website BTW...cool.

Thanks Dave...i'm getting there! Just want to drive it...kinda snowballed haha! But I have new emblems and new stripes going on so should be back to pretty perfect...car has been holding up pretty well for the milage...drivers seat is getting some patina, new leather is not very thick IMO. also got a SA dead pedal on clearance at the bash thats going in maybe...

I am concerned about wrinkling the new stripes at the corner of the scoop, but I am just going to have to see how it goes I am at the point of being more at peace with it all...

Sure a member here on TS John Farmer has a company at www.stuckonyougraphics.com. He is a really great guy to deal with. His kits are a different material than original to A SGT. From wht I understand the original material was not meant to be applied to horizontal surfaces...hence the spots. The new improved stripes have been successful on many SGT's.

Thats what I know.
