ShelbyDude Posted March 16, 2007 Report Share Posted March 16, 2007 Our body shop finished adding the over the top stripes today on a Vista Blue Shelby GT500 Convertible. Man, I don't care what anyone says, I think the stripes is what really makes this car!!!! Here are a bunch of pics I took. If I was going to get the convertible and not have any stripes I would go with the black having a black cloth top. I think the black looks best that way and the stripes really bring it out on all the colors. But that is just my personal opinion and choice. Everyone has to choose what they like and go with that. I can't believe how great it looks with painted stripes. You can't tell any difference from the vinyl. The coupe has the stock vinyl. If I ever had to replace the vinyl in the future I will just have the stripes painted on. Then I shouldn't have to worry about it again! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I really thought that they should have offered the stripes on the 'vert, and there's your proof. Then again, I also thought that they should have offered lighter colored inserts (like the lesser GT/CS). I think your car with light charcoal inserts would absolutely be the coolest thing out there! :bowdown: I have been waiting a loooong time to see stripes on 'verts. Thanks guys!!!
