BIKEBOY Posted May 12, 2011 Report Share Posted May 12, 2011 As my sig. states, I have been a TS member for a fairly long time. As for activity, I only really started posting about 2 years ago. I signed on way back when I knew I was going to order my GT500. At that time, I was owner and operator of my bicycle store and the day to day operations of the biz kept me from talking on here much. Plus...I was so computer 'nurdy' back then, that I didn't even own one!! (at home, I mean) I used the bikestore's computer to look at carporn, as Gina calls it!! Lol I ordered my car...it came...I was driving it, 'sparingly' to and fro the bikestore, all the while taking heat from customers..."Oh boy, you are making too much money off us!" Wow...a SHELBY, must be nice! You know, that kinda stuff? My customers knew me as a car guy. Always parking something different out front. But, when the SHELBY came, man-oh-man, did I hear it from people. It was if they thought I bought a freekin' Ferrari, or something? Too funny, looking back on it now. Anyway...I want to take this time to personally thank EACH and EVERYONE of you all for the friendship's we've developed here. Not even meeting most of you. I've really only met 2 guys from our forum. I feel like I know a ton of you all! I certainly remember alot of your spouses names, and frankly it warms my heart when I post something and one of you makes mention of Gina's name! That alone speaks volumes as to what I am trying to say here! I cannot think of a single other period in my lifetime since high school bonds, where I have had so many acquaintances that mean so much to me. As to the guys that think I am going away forever.........NOPE! I will continue lurking around and chit chatting with my .02 cents worth. To the dismay of some, I suppose? :P I truly want to convey here, that I will miss the 'regular' visits on the forum. Not to mention that now we are settling into our new home in Jersey, and I am gonna try to get back to work here soon. For God's sake, I've been out of work since June of last year! My wife is soooo forgiving! I am and will be forever a car guy. That said, I will be adding another to the stable someday. I will keep everyone up to date as that unfolds! Thanks again! We decided on Utah after a 10, 000 mile road trip around the US. We showed up with a U-Haul trailer behind my Chevelle and 5K in our pockets. No jobs, no home. Almost 38 years later, we still know we did the right thing. When I have changed jobs or carreers over the years, the changes have always worked out for the better. Good luck to you guys.
