Frederic Dumong
Hi I am just looking for an Oil filter for my 2008 SGT - which one can you recommend ? I just thought about ordering the Ford racing oil filter from Shelby Store. Well I saw that the one used originally on the 08 SGt is not the ordinary one from the 08' Mustang- It is smaller , maybe necessary to put it on with the bar. Does the Ford Racing filter from the Shelby store fit with our 08' SGT - thanks for your help- Greetings from sunny Luxembourg

socalwrench
Motorcraft OR WIX. They're essentially the same filter. Last I checked the FL-910S uses a WIX element. The Mobil 1 and K&N filters are acceptable ones from the common stores.

07SGT
http://www.royalpurple.com/rp-oil-filter.html I prefer the Purolator Pure One as it has a 99.9%efficiency and traps much smaller particles than the Motorcraft or FRPP filter.

ilmor
Another way to get the Wix filter is to buy the NAPA Gold filter; I've also read that it is a very good filter.

socalwrench
I believe most of the PREMIUM oil filters at carquest are WIX also. I had done a direct Motorcraft and WIX comparison one time, and the darn things had the same numbers on the inside. It wouldn't surprise if the premium Purolator filters used the WIX elements too.
