Cobra Boy Posted April 22, 2011 Report Share Posted April 22, 2011 Friday April 29th Those that want to pick up their registration packets early may do so at the Wine Valley Inn courtyard beginning at 3pm. The Wine Valley Inn courtyard is located at the corner of 4th and Market streets. The gates of the ampitheater open at 5:30pm. The Hermann Boy Scouts will have burgers, brats, and other bbq fare for sale. We are asking for a suggested donation of $10 to enter the ampitheater. All proceeds gathered at the gates will directly to The Make A Wish Foundation of Missouri to help children with life threatening medical conditions. The Hermann Chamber of Commerce will be vending beer and wine at their concession stand inside the ampitheater. “Rockinhorse” from the Sullivan area will play 6:30-7:30. Rockinhorse features Lonnie Childress, co-owner of Shelbyfest sponsor, Gateway Classic Mustangs on drums. The Blues Deville Band plays from 8pm-10pm. There will be a few prizes given away during the concert. Saturday April 30th Registration opens at 9am. Entrance to the show is similar to last year in that you will enter the show on 4th street off of Market street (the Wine Valley Inn will be on the corner). You will be greeted by our registration street team and directed from there. Our registration headquarters will be located in the Wine Valley Inn courtyard. Autocross Ride Along The shuttle to the AutoCross Ride Along will begin running at 9am and will pick up riders in front of the Wine Valley Inn on Market Street. The shuttle will also pick up people in the parking lot of the BP Convienance store on Hwy 19 north of Hermann and will run every 15 minutes (there is little to no parking at the course). There is no cost to ride the shuttle. $10 gets you two laps on the course with a certified driver. It also gets you a chance to win any set of BF Goodrich tires. If you are part of a group and wish to park together, you must arrive together. Show Car Detail has some spots open if you would like to have your car professionally detailed. He is another multi year sponsor and does excellent work. Many who have attended the show in the past have utilized him and been very happy. Our moment of Horsepower will once again be at Noon. Full concessions will be available as well as plenty of vendor displays, the dynojet, and licensed Shelby, Ford, and Shelbyfest merchandise. More than just shirts and hats, the merch tent will offer official Shelbyfest wine glasses, pint glasses, polo shirts, windshirts, and more. The show wraps up at 3pm. There will be a “pre-banquet” cruise right after the show. You do not have to be attending the banquet to do the cruise. Those that wish to do the cruise need to meet in the Hermann Ford parking lot by 4pm as the cruise leaves at 4:15pm. For those that purchased banquet tickets, the banquet this year is at the Hermanhoff Winery’s “Hofgarten” located at the corner of Guttenburg and 1st streets. Gates open at 5pm for cocktail hour (a cash bar). Dinner is to be served between 6 and 6:30. There will be no banquet tickets available the day of the show this year. The cutoff to purchase banquet tickets will be Monday, April 25th. ***In the event of rain, the banquet will be held at Hermanhoff Winery’s “Festhalle” which I located across 1st street from the Hofgarten***. As always, I will have some really great stuff to give away as well as a few super neat things are going to raffle.
