Stock Battery

Something slowly draws on these cars (or most of them) when off for that long. I've had mine die once in almost two years of ownership. It sat for probably two weeks. When it's time for a new one, you can bet I won't be buying a OEM battery.

My battery goes dead on my 2008 GT500 after the car sits for about a month. Is this the nature of the breast or is there something wrong?

Same issue with me over the weekend on my 2008. I picked up a battery tender at the local auto part store and after a day (it is a small 750mA one), it starts fine. Not sure if I will have any residual issues but it works for now.

Mine lasts a lot longer if I don't lock the car. The security system saps the battery as it sits. I went about two months and started it at about 40 degrees ambient temp without a problem. With the car locked it needed to be jumped after a month.

That may be the answer, not locking the car.. Mine sat for about two months in the garage, unlocked, under the custom cover, and it cranked up fine.

Anyone know if the LoJack saps any power?
