So I'm wondering why I keep hearing all these stories about drivers in NC being caught going over 80MPH and being taken straight to jail. Also something about you can pay the fine in cash and be released. One of the members on my glass torching forum warned me of this deal when she caught a thread about us making a family trip to Uwharrie, NC last year. Her husband had just went through it a week or so before her post. I just wanted to be sure, because you know how fast these cars get to 80. With everyone playing around and grabbing attention it would be an easy ticket to get. I don't want to see any of us get into that kind of trouble. Just for the record (for those who haven't seen the original), the aspect is off in that vid, which is why the cars don't look "right". It was filmed in 16:9 aspect and in HD. That vid is 4:3 aspect and low resolution for file size concerns. The original is around 160MB, and too big to be hosted on a free site. There are a few people on here who have the original on DVD. Oh - I've got an excellent location for a photo op - Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo has an outdoor stage that overlooks Shallowbag Bay that would be very cool for us. We have the use of the grounds from 10-12 noon at no charge. The assistant director is looking foward to helping us choose locations based on the weather and lighting. (One of us may have to give him a short ride....) I've been there and we're going to have some magazine-quality shots come from this location. And - we can also do some video there.
