tee2
i have a fuel pressure problem, as in low fuel pressure. i have removed fuel pump fuses at the boost a pump one at a time and have a little pressure from each pump, which tells me they are both running. my fuel pressure is down at wot, and acts sluggish to respond at part throttle. other than the filter is there any thing else i can check? i am hoping to not take it to the stealership. thanks

Justin00Stang
how low is your FP?
tee2
how low is your FP? read off my nexus gauge its 30 at idle with both pumps running(i assume), when i pull one 30 amp fuse on the boost a pump and then start the car it drifts between 10 and 20 psi at idle, ie stays closer to 10 and struggles to climb to 20 then drops back down to 10, i did not drive the car like this. i repeated with both fuses alternately with the same result(thats the assumption that both pumps are running). with both fuses back in, under brief wot, its at 60 psig and then spikes to 85-90 when i let off the throttle. when goosing the throttle in the driveway, fuel pressure is sluggish where it used to be razor sharp responsive, and sometimes drops below 30 after i gass it, and has to recover(like there is a volume problem. a/f under brief wot is at 14/1, and i have ordered a new oxygen sensor for my af gauge to verify its not bad. i have run torco full time with 93 octane for 3000 miles, the car has a total of 4400 miles now. thanks tom
tee2
can anyone tell me how to test the fuel pressure sensor on the rail to see if it is responding as it is supposed to

Justin00Stang
I can't comment on specific response times and dynamic scenarious, but the idle and wot pressures sound find.
