shelbymotorsports
Yup I noticed his SGT the other day on the Mopars At The Strip website. Looks like we will have a few more Team Shelby members joining the Mopar crowd this year. Steve
ShawnPringle
The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was thoroughly flogging the Ford Mustang in sales when it came out. Chevy fans snapping up most of the Camaros sold was probably due to the near eight-year absence from the market. The party was slightly over when the 2011 Mustang came out, beating the Camaro in the sales race. However, this was due to 2010 models sitting on lots getting some great incentives that buyers took advantage of. Now that the hype is over for the Chevrolet Camaro and the 2010 Ford Mustangs are mostly gone from lots across the nation, sales figures can finally normalize a bit and show what people are really buying. An article posted today by USA Today reported that for the month of July, the Mustang is outselling the Camaro. Pony car shoppers went to Ford dealers and bought up 7,489 Mustangs while others went to the Chevrolet dealer and took home 7,486 Camaros. Very simple math will tell you that the sales gap between the two isn’t large, with only three more Mustangs separating the two pony cars. On another note, the Dodge sold 3,695 Challengers in July, selling nearly 1,000 more since last year. While not great compared to the Ford and Chevy, but the original E-body was always number three in sales.
