any good ideas for personalized plates out there?

I've started thinking about what plates to put on the Shelby when it comes. As you all know, the right plate can make all the difference. it is a window into your (and your cars) personality. You have to be careful to say what you want consicely, but in a way that others can understand. You also need to be careful not to use a plate that instigates trouble (unless your looking for trouble).

i have listed a few ideas that I had below. In my state (colorado) ... you can only have 7 letters max. Are there any other good ideas out there? the car i ordered is torch red/white, hence the plates below that mention the color red. let's see how creative you all are.

GALOPIN, HORSES, NASTANG, QWIK (QUICK, QUIK, etc.), 2 QWIK, 2 MUCH HP, 2 QUIK 4U , CH CHING, MY TOY, DADS TOY,GIDYAP (GEDDEUP, etc),BUH BYE ,E NUF PWR,RED BLUR ,RAW POWR,SADL UP ,FASTANG,VENOM (VENUM),VENOMUS, BITN, COILED,EVIL SNK,U BEN BIT,WARP DRV,QWK PONY, 07GTPONY, WHOAAA,COBRA,TOO FAST,WO HORSY,VROOOM,HISSSS ,SNK BITE,SNAK BIT,FAST RID, QWK SN8K, LV B4 UDI, BLUR,REDSTANG ,N D SADDL, QWIK TOY, RED DEVL, ITS QWIK,

I always sucked at this, LOL.

The plates on my cars read NO GO 50 and 1SLOWGT. I'm a dork though.........I want everyone to think they're slow, rather than the idea of making folks think they're fast. I guess I'm ass backwards, LOL.

The one my husband always wanted me to get was SADDL UP (Saddle Up). I like it, but in no way does it convey the "yeah, my car is slow, go ahead and blow my doors off". A friend has a really cool one on his '03 anniversary Cobra. It reads "F8TL SNKE" (you could always remove the "T" to make it fit 7 letters). You best bet would be to consult the list. Dude has a whole database of personalized plate ideas, with categories covering Cobras and Shelbys separately.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but the list may help ya. :)

A tad off topic, but the best plate I saw was 3M TA3. It only makes sense in states where plates are required on the front, and read in the rearview mirror by another motorist. It was on a convertible BMW with a rather hot blonde woman behind the wheel. Made me do a double-take.

If I recall correctly, it was on the Ohio Turnpike. You never drove a bimmer, did you Evil? :D

I had an early 70's GM fibreglass bodied car that posted a front plate. It was 3TT3V.

For any of you that are pilots or aircraft afficianados, my most recent plate (for my last 4 cars) has been

FLY VNE. I just sold the most recent car, but not before I applied for and got a Shelby-ready VNMUS.

Look for it in July or August on a Torch Red....just in front of you. :yup:

Now it makes sence! :hysterical:

the mirrored letter ideas are clever... but how many cars do you expect will be in FRONT of the shelby looking back in the rear view mirror?! not many if i have anything to say about it!

NVWSSV..... now i get it! ;)

keep the ideas comin'!

See if you can get my screen name.

Hint -

Read it upside down.

It's a spin-off from a Seinfeld episode when Kramer gets the wrong license plates.

It makes me laugh.

And to think I used to have to go back and get the right order of the letters. :hysterical: Good One

Here's my plate

Wow................thanks for the compliment and all, but I'm not that clever at all. I never had a BMW (although I certainly wouldn't mind one, LOL). IIRC, I did see a picture of the license plate you mentioned on another Mustang forum, so it DEFINITELY exists.

Ya know, I'd been trying to figure out what your initials stood for, I thought maybe it had something to do with being in the Northwest, I guess I'm just a little slow! I think I'm gona change my name to NVW8OO8!

I just reserved my Indiana plate for my 2007 last week. I won't be able to get it until next April though.

When you see a white with blue stripe 2007 shelby coupe with a plate that reads "KNG CBRA" that will be me. :happy feet: :D :happy feet: :D

Do I get royalties for that???

(I like it)
