Robert M
I am working on the install of my 335's and have found that my axle assy. needs to be moved to the right about 1/8"+ to be centered. How does this Granatelli bar adjust? I see the jam nut at the heim end, I see the flat on the bar. Will this bar turn/adjust after I unlock the jam nut? or do I need to remove the thru bolt at the heim end and turn the heim after the jam nut is loosened? Thanks in advance, Robert

Robert M
Oh by the way it looks like you got a Rusty Butt. I know, and the only way to deal with it properly is going to require some additional disassembly!! I wish Ford would have protected (coated/painted etc.) the chassis parts underneath, but who looks at the bottom?!?!? Right? BTW - I have seen bare steel axle tubes that are much, much worse than mine..........That cast stuff, it sucks up moisture the minute the car gets off the assy. line and sits on the lot at Ford, especially if the car was built in the winter time, and the lot has snow either falling (parking lot wet), or snow piles on all sides. It is part of sitting outside waiting for a transporter with high humidity. My car has been inside since it arrived at its original dealership where it sat in the showroom, and then I have kept it is a climate/humidity controlled garage since that time, and never in the rain. Robert M
O.k., I have loosened the nut on the driver side end and attempted to turn the blue bar. It does not want to move at all, either way. Do I also need to loosen the other end jamb nut, maybe the sway bar is keeping the axle from moving? I don't want to take things apart that don't need to be taken apart, and I also don't want to round the flats on the panhard bar when there are still things that I need to loosen (or remove) that are keeping it from turning. Thanks, Robert
Robert OHara
Yes loosen the other end to give the bar room to travel either way , Threads are probably left hand at the other end to allow the bar to go both ways. Good luck

Good luck Thanks. That is what I guessed after thinking about it, one end would have to be the opposite thread. Here is what Granatelli says about the adjustment.............. --------------Your Granatelli Motor Sports Lower Adjustable Panhard Rod allows you to center the rear end (wheel and tire spacing relative to the fender) true to the body. WARNING: You must check the position of your rear end and adjust to center position BEFORE driving. Failure to do so may cause sever tire damage, bodily harm and even death. Check the position of your rear end by following the instructions below. Counter clockwise rotation will push the passenger rear tire out and clockwise rotation pulls the passenger side in. It should go without saying that the entire rear end moves in unison. Therefore, once you have set the location of the rear end, it is important that you tighten the locking nuts on both sides of the bar.--------------------- R
