TN Red Snake
i'm about to order the stock look pulley and vmp tune for my tvs That will unleash quite a bit of power for the TVS. Have you upgraded anything else? If you have just the TVS, you have many restrictions to hurdle to get the most out of the TVS. The more you do, the better it gets.... Justin can help you along as you go. Each additional mod, he will adjust your Tune. It will just keep getting better. I love my setup. Gets a little spooky sometimes, and of course I have to really keep my eyes open with my Arrest-me-Red color.

Justin00Stang
Good to hear. Summer time is coming up, so heat will be an issue, I've got plenty of afco dual fan heat exchangers in stock, only $739 with the 3x capacity factory look reservoir: http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=386&parent=

The louder the better in my opinion and currently my SLP loudmouths drown mine out quite a bit. This is next on my list of mods.

The sound from the supercharger is a lot louder. I used to not hear it over my dyno max 3 inch catback, now they both sound great. I will be putting it on the dyno at the end of the month so I will have some numbers to see how much I gained. If you buy the pulley from VMP do your self a favor and get the puller for a little extra. It was by far the easiest puller I have used. I have done swaps before with other puppets and they can be a pain in the you know what. Deffinatly quaility parts from Justin.

The factory intake silences the blower a bunch, so a CAI will make it whine louder, and the pulley will make it whine more too as its being spun faster. I've read too many horror stories of pulley swaps gone wrong and with my luck I know I would be one of them. Looking forward to the dyno numbers. Thanks for the info. Do you have any pulley/tune kits for a KR? How much hp can I expect? Does your pulley removal tool damage the original pulley? Thanks.

You won't be disappointed at all. Great customer service and flawless parts.

pmustang
I bought the pulley and tune and it really woke up the car, Bit more S/C whine which I was looking for. My buddy had previously bought the removal tool to put a pulley on his TVS and got it a bit off center on my pulley when removing the factory one and scuffed the front of the factory pulley and then stripped out one of the bolts from the removal bar as it was fighting itself, DOH!!!! I think it was a bit of a rush at that point which led to the problem, not the fault of the removal tool at all. We ended up using longer bolts and putting a nut on the back of the bar and centering the pin and it came off fine after that. We used a different tool to install the new pulley and it went on like butter, It just pushed it on perfectly. If I had one silly comment to make I would have had the whole pulley powdercoated inside and out, mine was bare steel inside which no one on earth will ever see but most of us Shelby owners are a bit anal retentive. 54First
got it a bit off center on my pulley when removing the factory one How'd you get it off center? It has a locating pin to keep it on center.

pmustang
I was not doing the removal. To be quite honest we made a quick run up to the guys house, He has done 4 or 5 of these pulley swaps and it was freezing, I think he forgot the centering pin and in our rush to get it done (never a good move) it went slightly cockeyed, As I said it was not the fault of the removal kit, it was our fault. Had I done it I would have had the instructions out days before and studied them like my first playboy, but thats me, I am a sad case when it comes to installing bits on cars, I like to have the whole install done in my head first.. In the end all went well and we got it done with only a small bruise on the unneeded factory pulley to show for it, Peter

Yep, there is around 60RWHP and 70RWTQ to be gained on the KR, with the addition of a VMP custom tune and 2.59 pulley (stock or aftermarket look). http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=331&parent=
