Widen 20" wheels to 10.5

I have seen others widen the 20" Alcos up to 12" to fit a 335 tire, but has some mods to fit the wheel. A 315 tire will fit a 10.5" wheels, has anyone tried this?

Thanks, Shane

I just got my matte black alcoas widened to 113/4 and put a 315 30 20 toyo r888 tire on,these thing are huge they measure 13 1/16 wide side wall to side wall. they fit flush with the rear fender outside lip. 10 1/2 inches is not going to work with the alcoas . they may work with the nitto 315 35 20 that only measure 12.4 inches wide but are close to 28 3/4 tall. the toyo 315 30 20 specs say 12 1/2 wide but they measure 13 1/16 on my 11 3/4 wheels.

I looked on the Toyo website and the approved rim width is 10.5 - 11.0- 11.5

When you post your pics I'll take a look

depending on the offset of the wheel you could probably get away with using a 10.5 or 11, but with the alcoa, the offset leaves the wheel at the very edge of the fender lip and any kind of tire bulge would cause it to rub. there are a few good reads about it in the supersnake section
