kc06gt-h
I am stripping the stripes and going to paint them on my GT-H, I have taken measurements and pictures of my GT-H and want to verify these from Shelby if they have these dimensions. I would like to know the dimensions for the lay out of the stripes, width of the stripes from front to rear, width of the center space, etc. I have found different widths of the stripes from the hood to the deck lid from other Shelby models but, none of the GT-H . Thanks :shades:

kc06gt-h
Stripes are 9" wide and 1" apart on the center line. That is what I had measured but wanted to make sure I was getting back to the way they were orginally. Mine were 1.1 width and 9 inch stripes, but some of the edges were rolled. Those dimensions sound good. The guy painting my stripes has a 2007 GT500 and the stripe dimensions are different over the hood and roof. Thanks,
kc06gt-h
I painting them going 12 inch wide !! Thanks for the reply, hadn't thought about changing the width but will look at the lay out and see. It would make it unique.
JeffJ
In the 60's the stripes measured different pretty much on every panel so that visually, they looked the same from different angles, but that is not the case with our cars. They are 9" wide with a 1" gap all the way. Of course depending on who installed them!! Also, the stock vinyl streched very easily, so you will find slight differences over corners, etc. Your painter will be able to make that much more consistent. I'm sure you read through this thread on my paint job in the GT-H forums. May be more info there to help you: Painted Stripes link Let me know if I can help. Yes, I have looked at your thread several times and hope my turns out as well as it looks like yours did. Got the paint code and font from here also. Removed the old stripes myself and have started sanding the body. The car looks pretty awesome black with out stripes, but just isn't the same. I did have a question about the front bumper fascia paint scheme. The bottom of the fascia, between the blanks where the fog lights would go, was it originally flat or gloss black? I want the car the way Shelby released it in 06. Mine is so scuffed up and hasn't been taken care of I really can't tell what it is at this point. I have looked online and have found most to be gloss black or seemed that way, but I have seen some that were flat black. Any help you can give me on this subject would be appreciated.
