djfollmann
Should I be worried about the clutch and transmission in the GT350 because it is just the standard clutch and transmission for a 50? What are your thoughts on this? I am wondering because the GT500 has a stronger clutch and transmission and both cars are about the same hp. What are your thoughts on this? I am wondering because the GT500 has a stronger clutch and transmission and both cars are about the same hp. I would not worry about it, but I would prepare for it. The stock clutch in my 06 GT lasted 25k miles after I put the 550HP FRPP supercharger on it. It was just a matter of physics - double the output on something and it will wear. I installed a McLeod RST and have not had any issues with the transmission. Look at JPC - they have a kit for 2011's to swap in a T56 magnum, RST clutch and one piece driveshaft. For my 350, I will look at this after the stock one wears out.- http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/tech/mmfp_1102_ford_2011_mustang_transmission_swap/index.html
