stevedm
I have spent an hour searching and can't find a concrete answer.. Will a NT 555R Drag Radial size 305/35-20 fit on a stock 2011 svtpp rim? I was going to buy new forgestars and put 315s on but if these will fit it will be cheaper. I assume they will.... Thanks in advance, I know the answer is out there, I just couldn't find it. There are a couple too many threads about tires and rims here.
BigDan
It will fit but its not recommended. Those tires you selected require at least a 10" rim and your PP 20's are 9.5" http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NIT-180830/
Tob
You could always store away (or $ell) your factory 20" x 9.5" rims and pick up a pair of the FRPP 19" x 10" SVT PP faux rims... http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=12304
Walls
Too many threads about wheels and tires? I find that there are a surprising LACK of threads about wheels and tires in relationship to the SVTPP package. I too want to run wider tires in the rear. I find it difficult to glean any information about what people are running as far as wheels and tires and what they used to tune the speedo and what suspension changes needed to be made if any...again, everything in relation to SVTPP. Some people have mentioned widening through weldscraft, but how are they accomodating for offset since they don't move the centers on aluminum wheels? Has anyone put a set of widened wheels on an SVTPP vehicle? I'd love to be pointed to some threads with wheels and tires combinations that people are using on the street WITH the SVTPP package. Thanks :D
2sharpie
You're right.........I'm also interested in going to 305s (or maybe 315s) on my widened STOCK wheels, but DO NOT want to cut bump-stops or anything in the process (if possible). Maybe I'm just waiting for someone else to be the guinea-pig??!!! I've reade some threads where people say they have to do those mods unless their car is lowered with a panhard bar (like mine is). Its hard to get a definitive answer if 11" is enough, if we have to go 11.5" or what.............
