Shelby arrives in Quebec City

I received my torch red GT500 early this morning. :happy feet:

After the car was picked up at Dave's place last Sunday, it sat in transit in Toronto for a few days. I was supposed to receive it yesterday, but a major snow storm delayed it until this morning. It was still snowing quite heavily when the car arrived and the conditions were very slippery; there was so little traction that the car needed a helping hand to climb the driveway.

Just took a few photos due to the lousy weather. I figure that I should be able to drive it in about 4-5 weeks; still way too much snow here! Until then, it will sit in the garage.

Eric:

Glad to see you got the car home safe with all the bad weather we been having. Looks like you got a bit more snow than we did in Ontaro. We had 10 cm. plus ice pelts with rain to finish it off , come on spring.

Congratulations!! :happy feet:

Great pictures Eric. It reminds me of my delivery during a snow storm. The truckers mentioned that they had to push my car onto the truck since the tires had no grip in snow.

Think warm thoughts... :hysterical:

We got more like 30 cm. The sad part is that until Friday morning, it had been sunny and roads were clean and dry for over a week. I was hoping to take it at least for a quick spin around the block before parking it in the garage. Come on spring indeed!

Congrats Eric, nice ride. What dealer in Canada did you get your car, if you don't mind my asking. I bought mine at Wood Motors in Fredericton, NB. I like the color by the way. Good Luck with it and Drive Safe when you do get it on the road.

Hi Dave,

You're right, only a week was pretty good indeed. I got lucky because the annual Auto Show begins here this Monday. My delivery guys were also asked to deliver cars to the show and were consequently able to hit the road with a fully loaded truck. Among those, a Volks GTI, an Audi TT an Altima Hybrid, a few Subarus, but no other Shelby.

I'm sure my new baby was crying a bit on the inside, as it spent the first six months of its life with a very caring owner. I will try to do my best to make her feel at home.

Finally, thanks to all of you guys for the nice words of welcome. I also see from the posts that there are quite a few of us, especially here in Canada, just wishing for the winter to be over ASAP.

Dave.

Oh Man, sorry to hear that. I'm glad for Eric but so sad for you Dave, I hope everything goes well for you. All the best to you, Dave. Don't leave the site, it would be a great loss. Keep in touch Bud.

Your Friend, Keith

Salut

Daniel

Congradulations Eric,

I have a white w/blue stripes Shelby & I'm not to far from you....In St-Bernard, Beauce, QC.....just south of Quebec City.

Hope to see you on the road this summer !

Thanks Tony,

I know St-Bernard well. Although I live in Quebec, I work on the South shore (Levis) and deal with some clients in the Beauce region.

I hope to see you on the road this summer too!
