Funny thing is that German cars are not at the top of the list in terms of quality control to other manufactures most notably Japanese or in my opnion American. I have owned an Audi (VW), BMW, and Mercedes and while I believe German cars are the undisputed Kings of driver cars they have all had quality control issues. I would choose a German car over a Japanese car any day but that is because I like the way they drive. If I was going for quality control and reliability hands down Japanese.
