Jer
Looks and sounds like a great idea... I wonder if it's all it's cracked up to be, and if it makes modding or tuning the car any more difficult, etc... Advice from anyone? jcthorne
Dosent do anything the factory PATS with SecureKey does not already do for you. Your Shelby cannot be hot wired without the encoded key. The car can still be towed away.

Can the key code be scanned? Any weakness? Jer
DubbsFaris
Not really. Like it was already said, your car can still be towed.
Jer
Not really. Like it was already said, your car can still be towed. Yeah, I get the towing part. I just figured the factory alarm had a weak spot, and if I can dissuade a hot-wiring job for less than $500, it would make sense. Jer
vandy09
i tell ya what, as a long time ford owner ive accepted the typical ford "alarm" that consists of a keyless entry and a flashy red light in the dash. i was looking to upgrade my 09 gt500s system. couple days ago i had her in the garage and the widows down. went to run to the store. clicked the lock button was walking by the car and the car starts honking and flashing the lights. i hit unlock and did the process again. same thing happened. im being told the car has "motion detectors" in the roof center console (domelight area). anyone else have this? Yup, that's the "Active Anti-Theft" option, with 2 field sensors near the dome lights. I reached into my car to grab my jacket off the seat at the Bash last week, forgot the car was locked, and it went off. Felt nice to be "that guy". sportscars
I bought an auction car with one of these on it a few years back. Of course I didn't realize it at the auction. Didn't figure it out until I got the car to the shop. It probably took me an hour or so to remove it and make everything look factory again. If someone wants your car they WILL get it. If I were going to spend $ on something I would look into a RECOVERY system like Lo-Jack or the one that Ford offers (can't remember what it is called however).
