rpretzel
rpretzel, how much was it and how hard are they to install?. I just pulled up the carpet in my garage. Was thinking about the sealant but really want tiles. Cost: $2.99 per tile (1 ft square). Not cheap. Installation: Extremely easy. The tiles just snap together...no adhesive. RaceDeck says to just step down on them, but I found a rubber mallet to be easier. I thought about an epoxy sealant, but went with the tiles. 1. Epoxy can be extremely slick when it's wet. I spilled water on my tiles, and it wasn't slick at all. 2. Epoxy requires the concrete to be absolutely clean or the sealant will peel up. Not so with tiles. 3. Epoxy is permanent. If you move, you can take the tiles with you. 4. A friend of mine said the Mag-Chloride Denver uses to melt snow on the streets ate up his epoxy floor. RaceDeck says their tiles are resistent to virtually any chemical (e.g. acetone). I guess I'll see next winter. I know this sounds like a commercial for RaceDeck, but I'm just really impressed with the product.
