Bushmaster
You gotta love that "reverse spin" maneuver - especially with the automatic. I don't believe I've ever seen that particular move in a road test before. That thing looked downright scary in the high speed curves - maybe it was those "steamroller" E70s. Man, we've come a long long way.......even the lowliest modern $hitbox would outhandle and outbrake that car. Not that I'd trade every econobox on the planet for a KR!! Bushmaster
wow flash backs!! 14.@ 101 them were the days I remember them fondly - if you had an honest 11-second street car, you were pretty much in charge. For us graybeards, it's almost amazing to think that you can go out today and buy a new car that will perform at that level.

I don't believe I've ever seen that particular move in a road test before. I think that's called a "Rockford" as he used to whip that gold Firebird of his into one of those about every other episode! What a hoot! Thanks for sharing it. When you consider how much rubber was actually in contact with the pavement, it's amazing the 60's muscle cars could get out of their own way! If you want to see amazing, look at what the FAST cars are doing today. As in "supernatural". I don't know if you're familiar with them, but they're running very low 10s and one or two cars have run very high 9s, on the same size bias ply tires they were delivered with. Recently the 9-second barrier was finally broken by this 429SCJ Mach 1. Here's their website - http://www.fastraces.org/

Bushmaster
Great vid. I guess you can't save a utube video to your computer? Anyone? Do a Google search for "save Youtube video" - there's a ton of programs and websites where you can save videos or audio. I've been having a blast making CDs of obscure music that was never released commercially.
Cali_KR
I like when the start the road test and the narrator says, "Its happy time"....then at the end, nice power slide (drift) thru the corner.....yes, these old big block cars can be easily throttle steered. I know because, I have one....very predictable.
