csm198
I come here daily and look for new things to read about SGT's and have noticed very few are posting. I am retired and have nothing better to do. So can somebody show some interest and initiative and post something? Thanks, An old retired guy.... springer
Hi, are you going to the Bash? Bring that bad boy out there and smoke up the track while you're at it! By yhe way, how is that Paxton holding up for you?
JeffIsHereToo
I think it's just that time of year (Nov-Mar) when people focus on the holidays, many areas deal with winter with cars snug away in a garage, so things get quiet? 08SGT1977
I didn't have much to say for months until I decided to have the GT/SC conversion. There was a lot of interest for me early on when the car was new. Now I'm more active once again now that I have new plans for my car. That's how it is for me. "A soon to be retired guy" ;-)

"A soon to be retired guy" ;-) 11 more months for me. I'm trying to get all the mods done that my car desparately needs, at least that's what i tell the wife, before i retire. A new clutch and Revan heat exchanger and i should be within 5000.00 of finishing it lol. Do you really ever finish?
08SGT1977
No way ;-) I'm already researching Ford Racing Power Pack, Handling Pack, 3:55 gears for my already capable V6 pony haha! Congrats!

By yhe way, how is that Paxton holding up for you? I wish! I am stuck in Panama right now do not have any car here. I can not wait to get back to the US and drive my car. I have bought a shifter, new clutch, new brakes and heat exchanger it anticipation of doing some work on it. The Paxton is working great after I straitened out all the problems Shelby made for me. The way they routed the hoses cost me about 1000 in repairs from hoses leaking. However it works great now.

ilmor
Not trying to step on Bob's toes, but he runs black wheels with snow tires in the winter. Polished for summer. Chris Chris, no problem! Yes, I put the blacks on in the winter for hibernation, and clean up and store the polished wheels & tires for the spring. The history on this is that when I originally bought my SGT I bought the black wheels w/ Michelin Ice tires as it was going to be a daily driver and used in the winter - but never actually was, because my most wonderful wife decided, well, maybe I was right :happy feet: and we should get a 3rd car, which is what we did! So, I've kept the blacks and snows for winter hibernation, and on occasion if I travel a long distance I'll put one in the trunk for a full size spare. I have also considered putting some street legal racing tires on these wheels for autocross and track use but that hasn't taken priority yet. edit...oh, heres a better pic... Jer
Well, I've seen the slowdown here for sure. I've noticed that some of the "first generation" owners have sold their cars, and don't have much to say these days (although I always consider them family! LOL). Lots more have modded the cars beyond where it's a daily thought for them. I think it's cool that the new owners come here to ask questions, it just adds to the group. When you see some "old" questions (how to get an airbag cover autograph, what wheels fit Brembo brakes, "Why are my stripes spotted?", etc...), it's a chance to keep the flame burning! I got a ton of help from this forum, so I like being able to help the "next generation". Jer

Larry (also an old retired guy) That is exactly what I do, it has proven to be a lot better than trying to hit on different parts of the forums, keeps me up to date on everything. With that said I have noticed a lot of Shelby GT members missing from the forums. I have been busy as crap, my company is moving me again, but I still manage to read the boards, just don't post as much. No time for mods either :-( I still have the Kicker system in my garage from 2009.

I don't own a SGT/SC, so don't beat me up too bad. I would imagine your supercharged 4.6's handle much smoother when compared to the larger 5.4's in the GT500's. I've always been a small block road course fan over the big block quater milers. To me the '07-09 SGT's are the GT350's of this generation. Adding a superchager to make a SGT/SC just makes it that much meaner. I didn't notice a post for just pictures so all you lucky SC owwners can show off your Shelby's. That should be at the top of this forum. Here's a question, Did they offer the SC package on the SGT BJ cars? I thought I heard that Reggie Jackson had one but the photo I saw of it showed a heavily modifed car. I didn't believe it. Reggie is a true purist so I would expect him to own a concours version if it was his. Also, thanks for the tip to view new content. I completely missed that little button at the top. Now if only I could figure out how to display a photo image instead of the little dot for my picture?

I seem to recall that Reggie's car was still at SA. That was in the late summer of '08.
