Where is this difference coming from? Tune???? The 2010 and 2011 model year engines have more knock sensors installed, so yeah, you could technically say the the increase is from the tune (more agressive). Mechanically, the blower is the same. What I should have said or meant to say is that you need a TVS with a 2.6 inch pulley to get 660 RWHP. When I purchased my TVS I was told to get from the 605 rwhp to 660 rwhp I would need to add a 2.6 inch pulley. Respectfully, Scotty g.

Tom Robinson
I'm a little confused. More knock sensors means more advanced timing allowed until knock occurs then the timing retards as to not damage the motor. How much additional HP would be determined by a number of things, one being the octane level. How much more HP would having added knock sensors really get you? I think the pulley and added boost would give you the most significant gains am I wrong?

The 07-'09s have no knock sensors so they get a more conservative tune to be on the safe side.
GO-SVT
I had posted about this last spring when I got my 2010 and kept the TVS from my '08. Everything posted is correct. The blower itself is the same, it's the pulley size and tune. If you are thinking of getting a TVS, get the VMP Tuning version that Justin is selling, that's the best way to go. With my "stock" TVS and a 2.59 pulley I am seeing 130 MPH traps thru the stock headers and cats and stock 3.55's. I can only imagine how it would run with a VMP TVS... http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=415&parent=
shelbypt
Wow, thanks guys! I really appreciate all of the info. I had no idea about the knock sensors for the 2010, or that the pulleys were different sizes.
superorm
Hi guys. I bring this thread to life again. I have searched for info abot the difference in the 605 hp kit to GT500 07-09 VS 660 hp kit to GT500 2010-. I have some questions regarding the kits. (Great info in this thread so far) Is this 605/660 RWHP or on the crank? I´m about to buy a used 660hp kit (he claims) but the thing is: It comes stright of his car that is a 2007 Supersnake. He claims that it was origanal installed in the car from the Tasca faktory (tought it only was made for the 2010?) Did the Supersnake had the 660 kit???? And if so... does it fit on my GT500 2008??? The ad said: ("Real complete Super Snake 660hp Supercharger Kit that have been in my Super Snake - 07 installed in the Tasca faktory and only have 700 KM for sales! -2.3L TVS Ford Racing dubbel rotor Supercharger. -CAI system with bigger filter -63lb fuel Injektors. -Ford Racing tuning to increas HP or better gas milage. Deliver 627rwhp/660hp kit @ 6100rpm & 838nm @ 4700rpm with only 15psi boost(3" pulley drev). It´s posseble to change pulley and get 750RWHP. Fits all Mustang GT500 2005-2012") Link to the actual ad (some pictures), this is in Sweden so thats why my english is bad. I have tried my best to translate http://www.blocket.se/varmland/GT500_Super_snake_kompressor_kit_660hk_35391316.htm?ca=17&w=3 What do you know about this kit? What size is the fuel injektors in my original GT500 -08? Could there be any problem for me to install this? Is there anything more i need? It says in the ad that it is 3"pulley, but when i talked to him he was´nt sure. Is this a complete kit for me or should i go for somthing else? Does this kit give my car 660 RWHP or crank HP? Thank you guys for all other usefull info i have found so far in this forum. But this question is hard to find good answer.

To get a TVS to the 660 RWHP level you're gonna need a 2.6" upper pulley minimum and maybe even something else like headers or a lower pulley. The TVS is not that hard to install yourself . I believe the stock injectors are 48's.
