Looking at the TVS at the Shelby Store, and there is a 55 horsepower increase (660/605) with the 2010 TVS over the 07-09.

Where is this difference coming from? Tune????

The 2010 and 2011 model year engines have more knock sensors installed, so yeah, you could technically say the the increase is from the tune (more agressive). Mechanically, the blower is the same.

the 2010 kit has a 2.8 blower pulley installed on it.

the extra boost and allowing a more aggressive tune because of the knock sensor = the difference in HP

Your absolutely correct except for one small detail and that is the TVS by FRPP that is advertised as the

660 HP KIT has a 2.6 inch blower pulley which creates more boost along with the more agressive tune.

Your again are absolutely correct Black Shelby. What I should have said or meant to say is that you need a TVS with a 2.6 inch

pulley to get 660 RWHP. When I purchased my TVS I was told to get from the 605 rwhp to 660 rwhp I would need to add

a 2.6 inch pulley.

How much additional HP would be determined by a number of things, one being the octane level. How much more HP would having added knock sensors really get you? I think the pulley and added boost would give you the most significant gains am I wrong?

Knock sensors act as sort of safety valves; they pull timing when knock is detected. The 07-'09s have no knock sensors so they get a more conservative tune to be on the safe side.

I had posted about this last spring when I got my 2010 and kept the TVS from my '08. Everything posted is correct. The blower itself is the same, it's the pulley size and tune.

 

If you are thinking of getting a TVS, get the VMP Tuning version that Justin is selling, that's the best way to go. With my "stock" TVS and a 2.59 pulley I am seeing 130 MPH traps thru the stock headers and cats and stock 3.55's. I can only imagine how it would run with a VMP TVS...

I´m about to buy a used 660hp kit (he claims) but the thing is: It comes stright of his car that is a 2007 Supersnake. He claims that it was origanal installed in the car from the Tasca faktory (tought it only was made for the 2010?)

Did the Supersnake had the 660 kit???? And if so... does it fit on my GT500 2008???

To get a TVS to the 660 RWHP level you're gonna need a 2.6" upper pulley minimum and maybe even something else like headers or a lower pulley. The TVS is not that hard to install yourself .

I believe the stock injectors are 48's.
