2 red stripes on fender

Hello

I wonder why somebody has 2 stripe on the front fender does it mean anything specially?

 

 

Old post from Son of GT:

 

They are FIA or "pit stripes". Originally, they were put on the (Shelby) team cars so the pit crew could identify each driver from the other using different color stripes. Remember, this was before radio communication between the driver's and the pit crew, so they needed a way to determine who was who as the cars went speeding by the pits.

 

We put them on our cars now as a tribute to the early days of Shelby racing, and because they look cool too!

ok thanks i am from sweden and i have never seen it here. My shelby gt 2008 vista blue is loading today for export to sweden so maybe i put this stripe on mine to.

come on rob you have more stripes than that. what about the mail box, the tractor. and of course those pictures you did of the house :hysterical:
