I guess this site is all about Shelby's (mostly newer ones) hence the name...

no matter to me, I still love my BAB 98 SVT conv.

by the way, I'm not expecting any replies here in this 4.6 DOHC topic section. I just wrote this to see how many views it gets.

Wow a reply overnight. Thanks! I guess there is some love for the midlife generation. Don't get me wrong, I am a fanatic for all years. Wish I could own a Shelby old or new.

My 98 is 100% stock except for a KN filter. I can't believe I don't have a photo on my computer. It's just like new. Here's the brochure pic. post-31184-083336200 1292337225_thumb.jpg

I bought it new and just can't bring myself to mod it. It needs a lowing kit in the worst way. I seem to becoming more of a purist the older I get. What always held me back was I want to keep the stock rims but hate the look in the rear with the tires tucked in so far. The lower the car the more it is noticable. Here's a pic of a lowered car with the stock rims. post-31184-064199000 1292337409_thumb.jpg post-31184-008279200 1292337434_thumb.jpg See what I mean on the rear. I think Ford missed the boat on this one. It's a fun car to drive but a bit too loose in the handling. My 88 daily driver has a rougher ride but really gives me a great feel of the road. I'm sure any new model would handle light years better than both of them. But that going to have to wait for a while longer.

Now I've got to look for some actual pictures of my 98 to add here. Where's that jump drive?

I've searched my files and this is the only digital picture I could find from over two years ago. post-31184-006925500 1292346695_thumb.jpg

I really need to take some good pictures of it. This one doesn't do it justice.

very nice! I had an 01 white vert before Shelby. I have to admit, these cars are a lot easier to drive than the Shelby.

Thanks for the compliment Sherri! THe color is what sold me. With 305 Hp it is just enough to keep me moving quick but not so much to get in big trouble with. I can't imagine what it's like to drive one with 500+ HP.

By the way you stable is amazing. An '07 40th conv in White (Awesome!), '94 Pace car (Cool!), '69 Mach in indian fire (now that's a rare color; Very Sharp!)

Have an pics of them to share?

Please tell your son "Thank you for his service!!!!"

Here's my stable :-)

Thank you for your comments.

They are all very sharp. I really like the your rim choice on the 40th. The black insert makes it look far more aggressive than the chrome version I've seen. Then again I'd be trilled to own one in any color or rim combintation. Enjoy it!

Here a sister car with chrome rims from Dave Lindsey's "socalcarculture" web site. This was the first time I had seen one in white /silver stripes.

Your Cobra looks really clean. My neighbor is in love with everything SN95. He has a GTS that is just amazing. He has had more Mustangs of various years than I can count but he has held on to that GTS for ever.

Thanks steve. It's all stock and a weekend driver.

Those GTS cars are very limited. I think they were a '95 only model. From what I rember the spoiler delete was the only exterior clue to what it was. I've never seen one person. Is it a cloth seat interior?

Any pictures?
