sgt1020
I am thinking about painting the black chin splitter on my car white, stripe it to give it that finished look and then install a gt500 splitter. (Non Carbon fiber) Any one know how much of a pain it is to take our chin splitter off to paint it? Better yet, has anyone done it?

JeffIsHereToo
I went back and forth on this then, at the 85th Bash, looked at the painted prototype next to a standard black car and found side by side I liked the black better. Looked cleaner and meaner. It matches the rear lower facia blackout. With the addition of the black lower grill looks great! But some still like the white and that's fine too! WildAzCat
I've been wanting to color match and stripe the splitter for some time. I recently installed GT500 splitter. It should protect the painted SGT splitter from scratches. I just need to find a good painter who can paint and stripe the splitter . I doubt it should cost very much. WildAzCat
Thanks. Now with the lower stance I have to watch every speed bump and parking block. Not to mention I have to creep up the driveway from a sideways angle. The look is worth it for me...

WildAzCat
WildAzCat that looks good!!!!! are your stripes pained on? Laurence No, not painted. They were replaced last year under warranty. I clean them every week with Plexus. So far they look as good as the day they were installed. I'm surprised as it's my daily driver and our summers are blistering.

WildAzCat
It's not too bad. Just take your time when grinding/cutting. Keep fitting it until it sits the way you want it.
