DubbsFaris
Okay, I ended up meeting some local Shelby friends out at SAR this last Wednesday night, and it WAS COLD!!! BRRR!!! How cold? It was around 45 F, and there was no one there at the line when I showed up, so I went over to tech, paid 10 bucks, and tech consisted of, "Nice Car", and shoe polish numbers on my windhsield and rear window. I didnt take any air out of my tires, left all my crap in the trunk, and just drove up to the line. I didnt even do a burnout. Cold tires, full pressure, and all my stuff on board with a full tank of gas. So how did I do? The guy at the line told me not to get on it or I would just sit and spin, so I got .520 reaction time, my 60 ft was 2.8 seconds, (Horrible) and I still ran a 12.499 at 119MPH. Unfortunately I couldnt get into the throttle until 3rd gear, but I lost an EASY full second at the line as is apparent by my 60ft time. This car is a 0-60 monster, and that was where I couldn't get into it. LOL Oh, and I hit the rev limiter (7200) in 4th right before the gate. Oh, I pulled up on the scale after the run, and I dont know how acurate it is, but it told me 4015 lbs.

These are exciting times to be able to pull up to drag strip, do NOTHING to the car and run a sub 13 sec time with undesirable conditions. speedyman
Holy crap man, a 12.5 on a 2.8 60' is killer. A decent 60' time under better conditions with more seat time and you are deep in the elevens!
COBRA SCOTTY
Congrats Warren, with better conditions the prospects of low eleven Et's are promisings. I was able to run several 11.30's w/ Drag Radials on my GT/SC @ PINKS ALL OUT in Memphis 2009. Hope to see n hear of your future times when the conditions are better. Your trans is 1:1 in 5th gear, correct? It's not like your GT500 where 1:1 is 4th?
GO-SVT
Well now I read in a different topic where you said you ran "really low 11's with the stock suspension" but I can't find any details? People are hungry for info, I know I am! What were the stats on those passes Warren?? Could you please update this info??
csm198
I have a paxton powered sgt, and at the strip I too can not get on the throttle until 3rd gear. My tires ( Mickey thompson dot tires ) . I can not remember but the best et I ever got was around 13.2 I know I am not the best driver. I figured it was the suspension was so rigid. I am going to try it some more once I get back to the US at a track near Miami. What I really want to do is get this car on the road course somewhere where there are not a lot of walls or maybe an autocross. My problem with track days are they are frequently very expensive. Just my 2 cents.
