lawdude
What would $4.00 a gallon gas do to your plans to buy a GT500? Since it would be a daily driver, I'd at least hafta think about it.

No, no, no. Just sell off one of your kids to pay for the gas. Or shut off your electricity and live by candlelight. It's a Shelby, man! :D

kaylan1521
This car will not be a daily driver for me so wouldn't be a factor.
owenkelley
My '67 GT500 and my 7-Litre Galaxie both get about 10 miles to the gallon if I drive them nicely. The new GT500's gonna be like a Corolla compared to what I'm used to, so I'm looking forward to driving an economy car by comparison! Actually our '07 isn't gonna get driven that much for a few years, I intend to use it for travelling mostly, and we're not gonna be able to afford to travel after we buy this car! GT500
If gas prices were a concern to me then I'd be looking to buy a HYBRID or some other "save the planet" type of car. Personally, my GT500 will not be a daily driver, except in the summer because I don't think this type of car handles to well in the snow.....& we get alot of that up here in Canada. Last night it was $2.43 & then this morning when I went to work it was $2.68 & then at lunch it was $2.75 a gallon. I say it hits $3.00 by May & $3.50 by June. but $6.00 a gallon now thats a big Ouch
robertlane
I believe we will see gas prices hit over 3 dollars by summer and 4 by next year. I would still buy a Shelby if i could. I would sit in it every day and have my dinner. The dollar menu from McDonalds.
DutchGT500
I will not drive a km less because of the price. It is my weekend warrior and I just wanna have fun with it. When I drive my Cobra on the track I use 1 liter on 2 km. About 5 miles a gallon. What the heck. I will stay between 5 and 7000 rpm every meter of the track. Also if it is $10 a gallon. I only live once.
