yeomandroid
Forgive me if this is posted elsewhere. I'm curious to know what the process is for having a stock Mustang GT 5.0 or even GT500 sent to Shelby from the dealer. Though I'm a bit early due to a financial setback on an unexpected and very expensive car repair, the purchase will most likely occur late next year. So I want to plan this right and of course do everything correctly. If I could get the good stories and the horror stories of those who experienced the process with dealer to Shelby I would love to hear it.
Son of GT
Roger Sorel at Shelby American is out of the office this week for Thanksgiving, but you can contact Steve Thornton there and he can give you the details on how to get a GT350 built. Please note that if you want a 45th anniversary badged car, your order and deposit must be in before December 31st, and the ordered car has to be a 2011 GT Mustang not a 2012 model. As far as a GT500 is concerned, unless you are having it modded at Shelby into a Super Snake, you don't need to send it in to Las Vegas. The Shelby GT500's are built by Ford and are not touched by SA unless you are doing a mod package with them.
