ZXMustang
This smells like one of those asshat ford dealers that got their one and only GT500 in back in 06/07 and put it in storage thinking it would be one great investment. Now they are trying to sell it likes its a brandnew collectors piece. They should have sold it back in 07 for the premium they were going for back when they had the chance. When I see crap like that on ebay, I go and bid it up to like 10,000,000 then let it end. Someone email the seller and let them know its worth like $35K best case. Shit you can get a brandnew left over 2010 loaded for low $40k's.

Now they are trying to sell it likes its a brandnew collectors piece. They should have sold it back in 07 for the premium they were going for back when they had the chance. There's one of those here in Colorado Springs. The dealership owner bought the car "for his wife" (he says in his ad). He put it in storage and it has no miles on it (it's a 2007). He thought it would go UP in value so he bought it on pure speculation. Now it's for sale as a "brand new" 2007...problem is, when he REGISTERED it in his wife's name, the warranty period started so now it has NO warranty left on it. Had he not registered it, the warranty period starts from the day it is sold and he could more easily sell it. He's asking $47,000 for it and that is down from his original price. I know if I walked in there with cash in hand he'd take low 40's for it but like you say, it MIGHT be worth $35,000. The dealer I was buying my 2010 from said the same price when I told him about it...$35,000....$37K at best (says they). Frankly, I'm glad to see guys like that take a financial beating on a spec purchase. That's why they call it....SPEC-U-LA-TION! You are "speculating" on the future value of it. 2010KonaBlueGT
The listing is now closed. Odd, how it mentions in several places the car is covered under a "full factory warranty"....... See my previous post above...if the car was never titled, it *still* has the factory warranty with it. It can sit on the dealer showroom for 10 years and still have the factory warranty on it....IF it's never been titled. Your warranty starts from the date of sale, not from the date of mfgr/delivery. In the case I cite, the guy DID title the car (in his wife's name) so he has what is essentially a BRAND NEW 2007 GT500 but NO WARRANTY. Had he been smart, he would not have titled the car. Phill 100% CORRECT ..... I know some states that you dont have to title a car until your ready ... so techinically you could be the first owner of a 2007 model. That said, the only way to get a full warranty on a older unit is to buy the car from the dealer who has it .... who hasnt reported it sold to ford yet .... and once they do ... regardless when this is ... the full 3/36000 starts from that date

If it had a 5.4L SC, I think he'd be showing that off all over the place. Also, if you look at his spec sheet is says "Mustang L@@K Shelby GT500"....."L@@K". My bet is that it's a GT500 clone. The first thing that hit me right in the face was the color of the car. As soon as I opened the page....Yellow? I've never seen a Yellow (w/black) GT500. He's calling it "Screaming Yellow"... Did Ford ever make a Yellow GT500? Did they even make a Mustang GT in "Screaming Yellow"? And my limited knowledge of the new Mustang body style (S197?) is that it started in 2007. Am I wrong about that too? If I'm right...how did he get a 2006 with the 2008-2009 (rear) body style? Something smells rotten in Denmark! 2010KonaBlueGT
It's a 06' GT. Period I wrote the seller with questions. I asked what size the engine is, how many forward gears does it have, what type of induction it has, and if it's a GENUINE Ford/SVT Shelby GT500. It'll be interesting to see what he says...or if he says anything at all. I'd be surprised if Shelby's legal dept. didn't get involved in this one. I know Harley-Davidson will jump all over a "clone" being sold as a Harley, or just having "Harley-Davidson" on the gas tank. If it ain't a gennie, it can't have the nym on it. Be it Harley or be it Shelby. Phill

2010KonaBlueGT
Tach is on the left. Why would someone go to all that trouble to make a clone? This was his reply when I asked him what size engine/trans was in it, and if it was a genuine Shelby: It's V8 4.6L Naturally asperated 5-spd, but looking and sitting inside it you would never know, sounds and looks like GT 500. It's funny you can't tell since I did such a good job it's better than a GT or GT500 in many ways it is one of a kind the car in Immaculate it is registered as a GT this way the insurance cost is cheaper to Insure. good luck bidding. PFFFFFTTTT! That's funny, MY "Mustang GT500" doesn't cost me any more to insure (thru Geico) than a regular ole' Mustang GT. In fact, Geico doen't even show a difference between a GT and a GT500. It most certainly LOOKS like, at least from the outside, like a GT500. Open the hood and he's dead in the water. However, I don't think there's a Natrually Asperated 4.6 liter engine out there that SOUNDS anything like a Supercharged 5.4 liter (i.e. GT500) engine!
