Bulldogger
Does anybody work there, or know someone who does, who would be able to get me information on a particular car they sold new that I want to buy? Aparantly they replaced the hood latch and plastic dress piece surrounding the hood latch before it was ever sold. I am interested in why and want to make sure the car did not have additional damage that maybe they are not disclosing. Thanks Dave

Thanks Dave I have let AFM touch my shelby twice.....the second time was a BIG mistake! They installed a ring and pinion 3.73 and set the backlash at 15 thousandths. Spec is 8-12 and it was a pain to get a call back to get them to fix it. The tech was pissy about having to do the rework but hey it wasn't in spec and whined like a teenage girl! So the tech adjusted the backlash but they got a groan shortly thereafter. Guess what they didn't put friction modifier in it for the rework. I ended up doing that myself at home. Fairly arrogant bunch if you ask me.

Why would a new car need the hood latch replaced? I want to make sure it wasn't damaged in the front while on the lot or on the carrier. Car sat for one year before being sold. No there isn't a body shop there......just sales, repair service and a stand along building with the dyno shop. I'd recommend comparing it to another mustang to see if there is a difference. If there is take picks and email them to them.
