Microsoft SYN and Bluetooth

Is anyone out there having issues with the blutooth on their SYNC? Everytime I make a phonecall shortly after SYNC disconnects my phone from bluetooth. This seems to happen very frequently. I even drop it after receiving a text. I am trying to find out if it is a SYNC issue or if it is specific to iphone 4 owners. Thanks.

I've heard of people having issues with SYNC and Iphones.

My Blackberry has never disconnected from my car. I've left my blackberry in my bedroom upstairs and took a call in my garage not knowing I didn't have it with me. The phone didn't disconnect until I was halfway down the road.

I know some phones are better than others. My phone is sometimes sporadic, sometimes not. There have been times when the sync would not happen at all and I hat to go a new sync process to sync back up. And, my phone is not text capable on the sync, talk only. This would be compatibility issues since my wife alse has a '10 Fusion Hybrid and it behaves exactly the same. Go figure, exact same system. :headscratch::banghead:

I too have this issue with my iPhone 4 and Sync. I don't always get booted, but it happens more often than I care for. I have tried a Sprint Evo and had similar problems. I also have issues with Sync wanting to stream audio even if I have autoplay off. The only way I could get it to stop was to make sure that Line in is selected as the source for media or keep a separate iPod plugged into the USB all the time. I have these issues in both my 2011 GT500 and 2011 F250.

The iphone 4 had issues in the beginning, but after the software update it works like a charm. Make sure you have the latest software update. HTH

Thats the funny thing. Before the software update I had problems but not frequent. I seem to be having more frequent problems after the software update.

Same thing happens with me.

The funny thing; I had a 3GS -- Never happened. Got the iPhone 4..... happens constantly now.

I love the iPhone 4,, but this is killing me --- This might just make me switch to a Droid phone.

It is not the iphone. I too have a iphone4 and I have a 2010 F350 with sync and it NEVER disconnects. I also have a 2011 Shelby and it seems to disconnect after you hang up from a call.

Ah, damn..... I don't want to take it to the dealer to try and fix the issue :(

Those handjobs at the dealer will take 2 weeks to "solve" the issue, I'll be without my car, and then I'll come to find out the issue was never even resolded.

I've lost all faith in dealers being able to fix issues.

Hopefully, someone here can come up with a solution.

You know i debated this also. I have a Srint HTC phone without issue. But, im wanting the text feature and so far no spint phones are compatable with this feature even though their droids. So,i go to Verizon to check out the X. Sure enough text works great, really cool. Ive been with sprint 6 years and was ALMOST ready to switch just for this simple feature until we discussed money. A comparable plan to what i have now would be double what i pay now!!

Thanks but no thanks Verizon.

My iphone 3 was flawless, when I changed to a 4 I started having similar drop issues, only upon initially entering the car. If i didnt drop and then reconnect from the phone it would have issues, if I let it just find the phone it would hold for a while and then drop either when switching to a call or to media. Software update slowed this a a little but it still happens.

No iPhone 4G, but iPhone 3Gs. Works great in both my 2011 GT500 and 2009 F150, systems appear the same other than HD radio in GT500.

I have had it not connect once in a great while, but otherwise wocks great.

Only issue that I have with it, is if you do not have an iPod plugged in the USB, the bluetooth automatically starts playing music on the iPhone. Easy to fix just cycle media to the HD, CD or Line in.

Great here in CT, where talking on a handheld will get you a ticket.
