because of the strict smog emission for california, did ford made two different type of emission equipment cars, one for california and one for rest of the 49 states?

if only one model for all 50 states, is it safe to say that a gt500 bought from another state will pass the california's smog test with flying colors?

thank you

Hey this isn't such a crazy question... California used to charge you a fee if your car wasn't purchased in the state.

They are friggin nazis when it comes to that stuff.

They don't charge you anymore because there was a lawsuit and they (California) lost and had to pay back all the people they fined (including me).

But yeah you're good man.

EVERY car has to be smog certified when shipped into California. Even a brand new car. I think even the dealers have to "certify" that it meets Cal smog requirements even though it is certified by the manufacturer to be 50 state legal. :banghead:

That's my understanding.
