Derrick917
I’ve been looking around for some deals on a 2010 GT500 for a while now and have contacted a few dealerships around town to have them contact me if someone trades one in for a new 2011. I got an email from a dealership last night stating he has a 2010 fully loaded with about 11K miles on the clock, he didn’t give me a price in the email, was just asking if I was interested. I guess the owner of the car is trading up to a 2011. Just wondering what you guys think would be a good price on a used 2010. Thanks for the help

ChrisSD
For reference, I sold my 5,000 mile 2010 in April of this year for $43,500. It took two months to sell if for that. October, double the miles.... $38k is what I'd pay now.
PistolWhip
11k miles while not that bad for a regular car, is little high for a car like this unless you plan to D/D it. Either way, I'd say not a dime over $38k since you can get practically new one's with under 2k miles on them for $42k or so. Mods, condition and color combo vs what you REALLY want will all come into play as well. If its the exact car you want, than maybe its worth a little more to you than it would be to me. You might even be able to find a couple brand new 10's still sitting on the lots for $46k which would enable you new car financing and might actually make it cheaper payments than buying used for a couple thousand less. My advice, don't settle for something that's not exactly what you want. Your still spending near $40k for a used car, so make sure if your gonna treat yourself with a gem, it's the exact gem you want. Don't be afraid to go get the one you want if you have too. I've only bought one car in the last 7 years from my home state of NJ (ironically enough it was my 500...). The rest came from Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, etc.... The right deal is worth traveling for and the drive home is so much FUN!
justindewoody
I sold my 2010 GT500 with 11K miles for $47000. But I had a lot of mods. And it was in absolutely MINT condition.
Torched10
PS---i would tell them you want a 12 month warranty on the clutch as well---its a wear item for the Ford warranty and only has a year on the warranty
doubleb
I'm trading mine in on friday for a new f150. Getting 43k for a trade in with 8800 miles. I am leaving all the aftermarket goodies on and giving them all the stock stuff
bpmurr
PS---i would tell them you want a 12 month warranty on the clutch as well---its a wear item for the Ford warranty and only has a year on the warranty The clutch is not covered under the 12 month 12k warranty period. I'd think people on this site would know that by now. The only way Ford will replace it is if there is a manufacturer defect. Look in the manual it's not one of the items like brake pads that fall under 12k or 12 months.
bpmurr
Pricing is relative to your area. I could sell my car and probably pull down at least $40k. It's all in how you or someone selling it for you markets it.
