Shelby2809
I also keep mine off, after you get used to the power, you know where you'll break the tires loose.

2BIGFRED
The reason I ask is I read an article about how you should leave it off. I will see if I can find it again and post it. Thats fine with me but when my wife is driving it I would rather her keep the trac control on.
07SGT0547
Supercharged or not... Most drivers and instructors will recommend that you turn the T/C to "Off" anytime you are on the track or drag strip... Otherwise, you are at the "mercy" of the computer and whatever the speed sensors are telling the TCS what to do... You will also tear up the REAR brake pads if you do any amount of Open Track events with the TCS in the "On" position... However, on the Street it is completely up to you (and your wife)... Run with it "Off" and you just need to know when the rear tires are going to break loose (old school)... Keep it in the "On" position, and I'm sure it will save any inexperienced driver from ending up on YouTube (new school)... Gregg 07SGT0547
0201212
I always drive with it off. The wife on the other hand drives with it on.

SGT/SC#0471
I forgot when I picked up my upgraded car from SA, Bud and the lead Mechanic (Sorry man I am spacing your name right now...doh) told me if I was going to get on it and I wanted my motor mounts and S/C belt to last to turn it off...and not to gun the engine to high revs with no load, as in revving it at a light. This is something similair to what I read. They were saying any hard driving you need to have it off it was better on the car. I think when im in the car the trac will be off unless it is raining and if my wife is driving then im not even gonna tell her you can cut it off. I wish I could remember why they said to cut it off seems like something about fuel or something damaging the engine I just cant remember I have looked and looked and cant find the article

COBRA SCOTTY
The 1st thing I do is turn the traction control off once I start my cars and I only drive the cars in dry weather.so no need to fear the power once you get to know your stang.I have owned so many high horsepowered stangs you know when the tires are going to break loose. That being said I have scared myself once or twice with my Gt500. One last thing never I repeat never get heavy into the throttle when going around corners or curves unless you have a serious aftermarket handling. DubbsFaris
Whats the difference? I break loose either way.
COBRA SCOTTY
Whats the difference? I break loose either way. I hear you Warren. That being said, if your going straight aleast you have a chance to gather control of the car. If punching the throttle on a turn it's all over and you better hope your seat belt is strapped on tight and you don't hit a another car , wall , tree or utility pole. OUCH !!!
